Frequently Asked Questions
The history of Allied Artists is long and varied. The Allied Artists name has long been identified with quality, yet cost effective recorded music and motion pictures. It became a household name during the dawn of motion pictures when ALLIED ARTISTS RECORDS was originally the soundtrack division of ALLIED ARTISTS. Born shortly after the demise of silent pictures, ALLIED became one of the first companies in Hollywood to produce motion picture soundtracks for global commercial release, distributing hundreds of soundtracks throughout the years, with numerous recording artists in worldwide circulation.
Over the years, ALLIED ARTISTS has produced and distributed hundreds of films. Though it originally dealt with early talkies, soundtracks, and cartoons, the corporation is now involved in motion picture production and television for various studios, remaining active in musical and television productions, as well as music videos. During the “Star Wars” era of mega budget motion pictures, ALLIED’s quality, yet low budget business model just couldn’t compete. ALLIED therefore built its record company with a string of successes by such artists as Renegade and Exodus. The ALLIED name was resurrected by its present management team in 1999 with the development of a website, acquisition of the Monogram Pictures logo and initiation of steps to found a modern entertainment company .Hey! Where are you?
Allied Artists International, Inc., 15810 East Gale Avenue, Suite 133, Hacienda Heights, CA 91745, Tel: Los Angeles: (626) 330-0600, New York: (646) 350-0009
I need sheet music/lyrics to one of your artist's songs. Can ALLIED send them to me?
Allied Artists generally does not control the rights to lyrics or sheet music. Those rights are controlled by the music publishers. Please contact the artist's publishing company for sheet music and lyrics.
I want a record deal with Allied. Where do I send a demo?
Allied Artists is one of the few companies left that still accept unsolicited material. Most companies have discontinued the practice and require you to have a manager, agent or publisher. Talent doesn't become talent by virtue of having a manager. Talent is talent because you artist is talented. We therefore feel that listening to artists is the best way to discover talent. As other companies stopped listening to talent, we added an online submission feature that will allow you to upload up to five different demo songs, along with three photographs and a full biography in either Word or Adobe Acrobat format. Why did we do this? Because we are artists "allied" together, to celebrate artistic ventures of all kinds. If you elect to mail your submission to us, please be sure to download our Portfolio / Demo Submission Agreement, which must be signed and included with all submissions.
How can I find Official Fan Club Information?
